- Each player downloads and installs the game on their own computer.
- All players join a video chat using any common video conference software.
- Select one player to be the Customer for the round. All other players are Sellers for the round.
- The Customer picks a Customer Card, announces it to the group, and takes on the role for the round.
- Each Seller combines two Word Cards from their hands to create an item for the Customer.
- As soon as any Seller is ready, that Seller “pitches” their item to the Customer. When one Seller is finished, anyone else can jump in and make the next pitch. The Customer may cut off any pitch that goes over 30 seconds.
- After each Seller has made a pitch, the Customer picks the best item and that Seller wins the round.
- Play continues until all players have been the Customer once.
For each round of Snake Oil, one player is the Customer. All other players are Sellers.
